Water slide decals - Pin Ups

Water slide decals are a popular type of decorative transfer that can be used to add intricate and detailed designs to scale models, including those used in military modeling and wargames. One particularly popular type is the water slide pin ups decals, which feature images of vintage-style pin-up girls. Modelers use the Green Stuff world decals to add a touch of personality and vintage charm to scale models. They can be applied to a wide range of surfaces, including vehicles, buildings, and even miniature figures.

One of the key benefits of using scale model decals like pin-up decals is that they allow for a high degree of customization and personalization. Pin ups decals from GSW offer a wide range of designs and sizes available, modelers can choose the perfect decal to suit their projects and add a unique touch to their work. Additionally, because they are easy to apply and require no solvents, they are a great choice for both experienced modelers and those new to the hobby.

When using Pin ups decals, or other types of scale model decals, it's important to take the time to properly prepare the surface you'll be applying them. This may involve sanding or priming the surface to ensure a smooth and even finish, or using decal solutions to help during its application. It's also important to carefully trim it to the desired size and shape and to avoid touching it with your fingers or other objects that could leave smudges or fingerprints.

Overall, vintage Pin ups decals are a great way to add a touch of personality and style to your modeling and wargaming projects. Whether you're looking to create a custom vehicle or terrain piece, or simply want to add some unique details to your miniature figures, there are countless custom waterslide decals to choose from. So why not give them a try and see what kind of custom creations you can come up with?

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE:

1.- Using a sharp cutter or blade, carefully cut the decal as close to the edge of the image as possible. A new blade will help ensure clean cuts and prevent any tearing or damage.

2.- Using a pair of tweezers, carefully place it into a container of lukewarm water. Let it soak for around 20 seconds or until the decal starts to loosen from the backing paper. If you're having trouble releasing the backing paper, try using slightly warmer water.

3.- Once it is ready, carefully slide it off the backing paper and onto the surface of your model. You can use a soft paintbrush or cotton swab to help position the decal and smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles. Be gentle and take your time to avoid damaging the decal.

4.- Once it has soaked long enough, carefully slide it onto the surface of your model using a pair of tweezers or a soft paintbrush. To prevent silvering and protect the paint beneath, apply a small amount of GSW Decal Fixer to the surface where you'll be placing it. If the decal is difficult to move around, add a little more Fixer or water to help it float on the surface until it's in the correct position.

5.- If the surface where you want to apply it is curved, such as a shoulder pad, it may become wrinkled. To prevent this, apply GSW Decal Softener to the decal once it's in place. Let the Softener react and it will adapt to the curved surface, helping to remove wrinkles. Repeat this step 2-3 times until the wrinkles are gone. Use a cotton swab or paper towel to remove any excess liquid caught between the decal and the surface, being careful not to lift the decal from the surface. By using GSW Decal Softener, there's no need for relief cuts to remove wrinkles from the decal.

6.- Finally, apply another coat of GSW Decal Fixer and the surrounding surface to unify the surface. If desired, you can then apply a coat of matt or gloss varnish to add or remove a glossy finish. With these steps, you'll be able to apply scale model decals with ease and achieve a professional-looking finish.
