LAV-C2 (ang. Light Armored Vehicle-Command and Contro) is an American, modern, wheeled armored personnel carrier that acts as a mobile command post. The drive is provided by a single motor Detroit Diesel 6V53T with a power of 275 hp. The cart is 6.42 meters long and 2.48 meters wide. The curb weight of the vehicle is 12.8 tons. The armament consists of a single 7.62 mm machine gun.

The LAV-C2 was developed as a development version of the LAV-25. It entered the equipment of the US Marines in the mid-1980s. The main changes compared to the original concern the raised roof of the middle and rear parts of the car, as well as the lack of a turret with the main armament. However, it carries a much larger amount of electronic and communication equipment. In 2004, vehicles of this type were modernized and received newer communication equipment and new battlefield management systems. The LAV-C2 provides its crew members with protection against artillery fragments and small-caliber firearms with a caliber of up to 12.7 mm. The vehicle has very good off-road properties and amphibious abilities. It is also possible to transport it by air, e.g. with C-130 Hercules or C-141 Starlifter planes.
