The T29 was an American prototype heavy tank from the Second World War. Only six prototypes of this car were built, and it never entered mass production. The T29 prototypes were powered by various engines, one of them was Ford GAC V12 with 650 HP. It was armed with a single 105mm T5E1 tank gun, 1 Browning M1919 7.62mm machine gun and 3 Browning M2 12.7mm machine guns.

Tank The T29 was created in connection with the threat created by the introduction of heavy tanks Pz.Kpfw VI Ausf to the line by the Wehrmacht. B Konigstiger. The new American tank was supposed to be an equal opponent for them and be able to fight them at a distance of about 1000 m. For this reason, the prototype T29 put a lot of emphasis on the excellent armor of the vehicle - especially the front of the turret, where the armor reached up to 249 mm! They were also equipped with a good 105mm cannon. However, due to the commencement of works only in the second half of 1944, the T29 cars did not have time to enter mass production. The T29 tank did not take part in the combat operations.
