From Newfoundland to Norway, Europe's fishing fleet works 24 hours a day, battling the elements and the unforgiving sea. On a three-week fishing tour, the trawler devotes only about one week to fishing, the remaining two weeks are needed for travel to and from the fishing grounds. These trawlers are equipped with electronic equipment such as navigation aids, echo sonar and an automatic school of fish reporting system that shows the density of fish stocks. Trawlers of this type pull their trawls on the right (starboard) side. The crew is 19 men.
