Fennek (small desert fox) Leichter Gepanzerter Spähwagen (Light Armoured Scout Car) 4×4 reconnaissance vehicle developed jointly for the German and Dutch military to replace their Luchs ARVs and M113s respectively. The prototype completed field trials in April 2000 and a combined initial order was placed in December 2001, 410 Royal Netherlands Army, 222 for the German Army.
